I am currently working on my Master's Thesis, but I procrastinate by reading all the books I can! In the meantime, I have a good job with fun people.

Coast Road

Coast Road
By Barbara Delinsky
0671027662

I liked that this was from a male perspective. The secondary characters like Katherine are well-rounded and interesting. It was probably hard to make a woman in a coma a real character, with her interests and life not currently being shown to the reader. Ms. Delinsky did an amazing job of that, even in a coma it was clear why her husband still loved her (okay, ex-husband, but there was never any doubt how that would turn out!)

Very funny book! I got lots of great quotes out of this one. Funny and thought-provoking, hard to put down ("just one more quote, just one more...")

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Visual Guide

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Visual Guide

In case anyone in the world didn't know it by now, I adore Pirates and Capt. Jack Sparrow! This was a great behind-the-scenes look at an awesome movie. There are little tidbits that made it worth the read, even for a fan such as myself, who reads as much as possible about the movies.

The Debutante Divorcee

The Debutante Divorcee
By Plum Sykes
1419390236(book on CD)

Hysterical! I'm sure people in the cars around me thought I was nuts, laughing my head off, tears coming to my eyes at times. I adore these characters, every one of them was a winner. And I didn't even see the 'twist' or whatever you want to call it, coming. Maybe I'm blind but it was definitely a surprise. I loved the snobby secondary characters the best, they were the funniest.

Further Chronicles of Avonlea

Further Chronicles of Avonlea
By LM Montgomery

Not as good as the last one I read, the collection of Christmas stories. But still good, makes me want to reread Anne of Green Gables and all the rest!

Pudd'nhead Wilson

Pudd'nhead Wilson
By Mark Twain

I like the plot, I love Mark Twain, the action was easy to follow and yet interesting enough. But it just didn't... to use a cliche, sing like his other works.

The Sunflower

The Sunflower
By Richard Paul Evans
141937544X (book on CD)

Gorgeous, funny, even some profound lines that really make you think. The descriptions of the rain forest really take you right into it. You can almost see what's being described (which yes I know is the aim of every book but many of them fall short!). The characters are sweet, genuine people, it was a pleasure to spend time with them!

Carolina Moon

Carolina Moon
By Nora Roberts
0515130389

I'm giving this a score based on everything but the last chapter. The last chapter was horrible, in my opinion, although I know my opinion isn't worth much! I would have rewritten it but I won't say how since it's the last chapter and that would spoil the ending of course! But the characters were good and the plot was intriguing, so I really did like the book despite my pessimism.

The Wonderful O

The Wonderful O
By James Thurber
0440405793

Yes, it's a kids book. I do understand that! But what a wonderful analogy, I kind of wish I had read this when I was much younger, just so I would know what it's like to read it when you're in the age group it was actually meant for.

Beautiful. This is LM Montgomery at her best. This was the perfect time of the year to read this book, these stories. It's hard to pick a favorite, just read them all!

Treason

Her books aren't all as amusing as the first one I read. It was an interesting book, with good points, but didn't catch my attention as much as some of hers have.

A Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Stories

A Christmas Carol and Other Christmas Stories
By Charles Dickens

Of course the first story is wonderful, an absolute classic. But the third story is awesome, I think it might be my favorite in this tiny collection!
