Disclaimer: I won the lottery and bought them, didn't you hear?

Summary: Danny gets his hands on an interesting report. Takes place during the first season, remember that great time? Slight spoiler for Take Out the Trash Day.

And this was written a while ago, just hadn't had time to post it before... I also haven't had time to watch West Wing in a couple of months, so if this is out of character, sorry! I blame John Wells, you should too ;) Seriously, hope this is somewhat realistic and not just me, wanting a cute little story, starving for CJ/Danny of any type!! *gasp* Throw us a bone, Mr. Wells, we're dying here!

"Danny?"

He held up a hand. "Just a second."

"Give me the report." She tried to take it, but he pulled it away, to her surprise. "Danny!"

"Just a second, CJ." He flipped a page, skimming the sections. "I think I found something."

"You're not allowed in my office anymore."

"Can I get a copy of this?"

"The sex ed report? No, Danny." She sighed and sat down to glare at him.

"But... hmmm, I think I've been doing it wrong all these years."

She nearly laughed, but stifled it. "Really?"

"Well, not the whole thing. Just certain... aspects." He flipped another page, oblivious to the woman sitting across from him.

She couldn't stand it anymore. She stood up and crossed to him. Tearing the file out of his hands, she settled herself on his lap.

He blinked, disoriented for a moment.

She draped her arms around his neck to whisper in his ear, "Want some help studying?"

"CJ, I thought-"

"Well, there's your problem," she interrupted him. "Stop thinking."

He opened his mouth to continue his thought, but she attached her lips to his instead. He quickly got over his surprise to wrap his arms around her waist and pull her closer. He ran his hands lightly over her sides.

She sighed happily and broke away to whisper in his ear, "Come home with me."

He kissed her neck lightly before answering in the same tone, "No."

She pulled away to stare at him. "I thought... I thought you wanted to-"

"CJ." He sighed as he kept her in place, staring into her eyes. "I want nothing more than to go home with you tonight. But I was just teasing you before when I mentioned it. I don't want to be just a line in your memoirs."

She continued to stare at him, now with a confused expression on her face. "What are you talking about?"

He brushed the hair away from her eyes, a faint smile on his face. "Fifty years from now, you're going to write your memoirs. And I want to be a prominent figure in the 'after the administration' part of it. I don't want to sleep with you now and have you regret it. I want this to be more permanent."

She smiled shyly at him. "You're too sweet, you know that?"

He ducked his head. "Don't let it get around."

"So are you going to help me write these memoirs?"

"Parts of it. I'll write a few lines about myself in there, of course."

She laughed. "Of course. Like what?"

He had to concentrate on answering her as she bent to kiss his neck. "Well, one line will be about our honeymoon, when we'll go someplace exotic that you won't remember the name of because we stayed in the hotel room the whole time having incredible, mind-blowing sex."

"Really?" She giggled. "You sure about that?"

"Well..." Danny sighed. "I guess using both 'incredible' and 'mind-blowing' in the same sentence is redundant. We'll figure something out."

"Pretty inventive, are you?"

He pulled her head closer to kiss her, deepening their kisses until he couldn't stand it anymore. He sighed as he pushed her gently away. "I'm going to leave now."

"Before you let yourself become just a line in my book?"

He smiled. "Exactly."

She stood to let him leave. When he got to the door, she told him quietly, "I think you'd rate at least a page."

"As flattering as that sounds, I'm going to wait until you're ready to give me whole chapters."

She nodded. "I hope you won't have to wait too long."

He stared at her for a moment. "I'm a pretty patient guy. And persistent, don't forget persistent."

"I hope it'll be worth it." She bit her lip.

He smiled reassuringly. "It will be. For both of us."
