Horrifying book at times. They were there, they saw what happened, where the UN failed. The Last Coda is the most unbelievable. After all the horrors that the UN allowed to happen, again and again, they were nominated for a Nobel? Heidi seemed too obsessed with her boyfriends, I would rather have heard more about what life was like for her as a woman in those countries, what her job entailed, the everyday problems and people she had to face. Eye-opening book though. There are no easy answers, but at least with this straight-forward book, maybe there is hope that one day the right person will be in charge. And the politics will stop or slow and real work can be done on a big scale... instead of restricted to what just a few dedicated people can do.
