CJ hummed as she walked around her office reading a file. Her cold had departed as fast as it had come, leaving her a little weaker but otherwise fine. Her only concern now was that Danny had crept out of her apartment early the previous morning and she hadn't seen him since.

She glanced at the clock. As soon as she finished, she could go home. As a bonus, she had the next day off.

At the knock on her door, she glanced up. Her assistant had left already and the lights were off in Carol's area, but CJ recognized the silhouette.

"Look what the cat dragged in." She smiled as he headed towards her couch. "Literally," she exclaimed as he moved into the light. "What happened to you?"

"I don't feel so good." He told her faintly.

"You must be sick to utter a sentence like that." She placed a hand on his forehead.

"What, no kiss?"

"You have a fever," she told him. "I must have given you my cold."

"Well, thanks." He closed his eyes and relaxed on the couch. "There are many, better things you could give me."

CJ smirked since he couldn't see her, but refused to rise to the bait. "Why don't we get you home?"

"I need to go shopping on the way." He told her. "I have no food."

CJ sighed. "Why don't you come to my place then?"

"What? No, that's okay."

"C'mon, Danny. Let me pay you back for the other day."

"I was hoping for a different payment." He opened one eye to see her roll her eyes at him. "But okay."

"CJ?" Toby stared at her from the door. "Go home."

She gestured to her couch. "I have a sick reporter to get home."

"His or yours?"

"Mine." She stared defiantly at Toby until he sighed and nodded. "Help me get Danny to my car."

"What happened to 'I am woman, hear me roar'?"

"She just got over a cold and is still weak." Her eyes implored him, "Please Toby."

"Fine, let's go." He moved to Danny. "You going to sleep in CJ's office tonight?"

Danny opened one eye. "Just figured I'd rest while you decided my fate. So, Mr. Ziegler, do I get to live?"

Toby chuckled. "Drug him up, CJ, maybe he'll sleep this off."

"She thinks I'm charming." Danny told Toby.

CJ laughed. "I definitely never said that."

"No, I just know these things. I have ESPN."

"Me too." Toby glanced at CJ. "And I'd like to be home watching it. Let's get this show on the road."

"We're on a show?" Danny asked groggily. "Television or theatre?"

CJ grabbed her jacket and briefcase while Toby carried both his and Danny's bags. "Let's go, I've got everything."

"Including the crazy man." Toby said.

"Hey, that's Mr. Crazyman to you." Danny told him.

"Please let your car be parked close." Toby pleaded with CJ.

"Yeah, it's pretty close. I could go get it if you want to sit in here and wait with-" She glanced between the two men. "Let's both help Danny out to my car."

Toby nodded. "Grab an arm."

Between the two of them, and Danny's feeble help, they managed to get him upright.

"Come on, Danny. One foot in front of the other." CJ coaxed him as they walked slowly down the hall.

"Is he drunk?" Leo asked as he passed them in the hallway. "How did a drunk reporter get in here?"

CJ smiled. "He's not drunk. I think he got my cold."

Leo sighed. "Okay, get him out of here before he infects everyone."

"CJ didn't infect everyone, just me." Danny chimed in.

"Danny." CJ warned him. "Stop talking."

"Okay, honey." Danny shut his eyes and slumped against her. She blushed and dropped her eyes, missing the amused look that passed between Leo and Toby.

"Let's get this clown out of here." Toby began to walk, dragging CJ and Danny with him. They maneuvered him into the car and Toby shut the door. "And how are you going to get him into your apartment without help?"

She smiled at him.

"No way. CJ, no. You're on your own. He's in the car, that was enough."

She pouted and stared at him.

"There's a game on tonight I wanted to see the end of."

She smiled faintly.

He sighed. "I'll meet you there."

Her smile widened and she kissed his cheek. "Thanks, Toby! I owe you one."

He watched her get into her car, amazed at how easily she got her way.
